Baby Registry to date

FYI (per multiple requests):
Laci and I have registered for baby stuff at Target and are planning on registering at Ikea and The Children's Place as well. Just so that everyone knows...the big stuff we registered for e.g. carseat, playpen, stroller,etc we put a lot of thought/research into and specifically picked out. As far as small stuff, e.g. booties, onesies, any type of clothing basically, we just picked out based on the type and number we need. So if you see something you love like a onesie we did not pick out in pink or blue, then please go ahead and purchase it for us just be sure to send a reciept with it in case the baby pops out a different gender. Also we did not pick out any "play clothes" (which consumer report said we need six outfits). So those are up for grabs as well. Obviously no one has to buy us anything, but if you are wanting to, I hope this helps!

26 weeks (1 more week until 7 months)

Well,

The belly officially POPPED!! I woke up on Sunday morning two weekends ago and my tummy was all of a sudden this big!! Anyway, I am feeling great. School is going well. I have tons of tests coming up the next couple of weeks, but after that is Spring Break...yay! We are closing on our house this upcoming Wed. I found out that I cannot travel anymore beyond 2 hours...not super excited about that. I was wanting to go home for Spring Break, but I guess since it is in the baby and my best interest; I can except that. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures.

Special Post for my dad...

O.K. long story, but here I am in the infamous I LOVE LAMP shirt. Here is a belly pic and a straight on (goofy) pic. I do have an excuse for looking so aweful and dingy in the pictures (especially the straight on picture). I had been studying the biochemistry of the endocrine system for about 8 hours right before Chris got home and took the picture (thank goodness that test is over and now...6 more to go..).

Sorry these pictures are from my camera phone. We are going to buy a nice camera (for Christmas 2006) after we get into the new house and get that all settled. : ) This is the maternity outfit that my mom, dad, and Dana got me for Christmas. My dad picked out the shirt for me. I had to get dressed "professionally" to do a physical exam so afterward I had Chris snap a quick shot since I am TERRIBLE about not taking pictures. I have to admit. I do have a nice camera that my parents got me for Christmas a while back, but it was out of film and batteries. : ( Anyway...those that know my mom well will recognize the look on my face as coming directly from her. : ) Too funny.

The two pic on the top show the four chambers of the baby's heart at the bottom...they are the four dark black spaces you can see in the gray chest area...healthy.

5 months (20 weeks)

Well, we are halfway there and here are the pics of the little bundle of joy (literally). The baby is a lot like its daddy, I think. When it is awake, it moves and kicks and has lots of energy, but when it sleeps...apparently there is no waking it up!! The sonagrapher tried everything except having me stand on my head, and this little baby just curled up into a little tiny ball in the lower right side of my tummy and slept. It kicked the machine a couple times; then fell asleep. Too cute.....

I am feeling lots better! I got a flu-like virus that did not effect the baby. I am doing great now. I just have to be careful how quickly I stand up, or I get dizzy (which is normal at this stage). The baby says "Hi" apparently. Maybe it new I was talking about it b/c it started kicking like crazy after I wrote the first paragraph. Anyway here are the pics: In the first pic (at the top) that is the baby's knee by its head. You can see in the far right pic the baby's hand and foot right by its head.

First Baby Pictures

Well, here is the first picture taken ever of our wee bearn. It was the cutest thing ever! We apparently woke the child very early on in the ultrasound, and it started moving like CRAZY! Kicking and swinging its little arms and wriggling. I can't wait until we can feel it (but not in the middle of the night...can beggers be choosers?). Chris has started talking to my belly (and the baby) everyday when he gets home. AND I don't want to speak too soon, but I did not throw up today. Maybe the morning sickness is subsiding?! I hope so! Love everyone and can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas!! Oh, and Dana, kick some booty and win state!!!!!!!
